Follow this blog

So I have found a blogger that everyone who loves makeup(and may not be very good at it) should check out! She is literally amazing and I have been watching A LOT of her videos! Her name is Tiffany http://makeupbytiffanyd.blogspot.com/2009/04/freelancing-information.html. Honestly everyone should check her out! She has really great tips for makeup and she also does some segments on hair. Hopefully one day I will do stuff like this on my blog! I just need to get a video camera. This video was one of my favorites!

I also found another Jewelry Designer that I am obsessed with! Her name is Amrita Singh! I found so many pieces that were amazing! Seriously you need to join Gilt if you ha
ven't already. Some of these pieces are about $200 but on the website they are about $60. Great statement pieces for any outfit! This necklaces are MAJOR as Rachel Zoe would say...she's
pretty much my new celebrity/stylist crush! She is amazing.
The rings on top were originally $100 dollars and on the website are going for $38. I can't decide what piece is my favorite but I am definitely partial to the earrings, if anyone knows me they know I am in love with turquoise jewelry!! Anyways I swear one day I will do stuff on clothes! Maybe the next post!!

Alanna Bess Jewelry

One of the things I love the most when it comes to fashion is accessories! You can never do an outfit wrong with a pop of color from a purse, necklace, ring, etc... Two things I can't live without and the things i will splurge the most on are shoes and purses. Recently I have been obsessed with rings and belts though. Two of the greatest sites I have ever encountered, and a must for those who love designer clothes at a bargain, are Rue La La and Gilt. Trust me they are amazing! If you want to be added just send me your email address and I will gladly add you. One of my favorite things about these sites are the new designers that I encounter that I have never heard of. Since my realm for accessories is limited, I have been trying to build up my knowledge of fun jewelry designers! One that I found on gilt.com was the designer, Alanna Bess Jewelry. I must admit it is quite pricey, BUT if you're a member on these websites you can get amazing deals on the jewelry. For example some of the rings I found were originally over $400 but on the website they were $150. Yes this is still pricey, and probably out of the price range of most college students, it is fun to find new designers and to lust over the things you hope to one day have. Now I wasn't as big of a fan of her necklaces but the rings were to DIE for! I wanted every single one that was on the site, and so did everyone else because they were all sold out! Take a look at some of my favorites. These rings would add just enough edge to any outfit! You could pair it with any casual outfit and it would also look amazing paired with any LBD!

A Need for Inspiration!

Yes I am the weirdo who will spend hours on youtube watching videos on fun hairstyles or new makeup tips, when I should be doing homework. Well the semester is almost over and I am in the "I am over school" mode so instead of studying I felt I needed some new inspiration on fun hairstyles. I have been rocking the beach curls for a while now, and the braid in the hair just wasn't cutting it anymore. As I was looking up new tips on hairstyles I found this cute girl, who has a lot of cute hair tutorials, who showed how to make a bow in your hair(you know the Lady Gaga bow). I always thought you had to use extensions and go through some wild and daunting task that would take hours to finally accomplish...well looks like I was wrong! I loved this video so you should probably take a few minutes to check it out and try it! It's totally fun! Since I have long hair I am a fan of the 2nd look!

Cool huh! Here is my first attempt at this hairstyle...BUT let me warn you this is a sad attempt! It was late at night and I just wanted to quickly try it before I went to bed...no hairspray and my hair was a wild mess, but that is normal for me! I love that we can all be inspired by one another. I love trying new things and having fun with all aspects of fashion!

Here we go

To me clothes go beyond style. They are not there to simply cover our bodies, rather, they are created by geniuses that bring visible art into our lives on a daily basis. Clothes dictate our moods, personalities, likes and dislikes. I hope to showcase my love for this art form and help others learn to love, or appreciate it, more than they already do. But why limit this to just clothes? What girl doesn't appreciate a nice handbag, scarf, jewelry, or even, makeup. This is my life and welcome to my world. I will write about new trends, what looks good on what body type, the lives of fashion designers, you want it I'll do it.

This summer I was able to have the experience of a life time! I worked as an intern on a small movie in the clothing department, you name it and I most l
ikely did it. After many hours, blood, sweat, and tears, I was able to move from intern to clothing stylist. I had a great boss who helped and taught me a lot and allowed me to really be creative. It was amazing!! From then on I realized that I couldn't do a job that didn't involve the fashion world in some degree!
*please excuse the hair and tired look(Day 15 of no sleep and 14 hour work days)
